香港競技協会との団体間友好提携について
このたび日本プロ麻雀協会は、香港競技協会（Hong Kong Mind Sport Competition Association） 様と友好団体となりましたので、お知らせいたします。
香港競技協会は、さまざまなマインドスポーツの推進・企画・大会運営を行っており、リーチ麻雀の普及にも積極的に取り組んでいる団体です。
2025年10月16日には、同協会代表の梁思俊（Leung Sze Chun）氏らが来日し、当会代表五十嵐毅と調印式を行いました。 今後は、リーチ麻雀の海外展開や普及、国際大会の開催などについて、両団体の協力のもとで推進してまいります。 国際イベント等の最新情報は、引き続き当協会ホームページおよび公式X（旧Twitter）にて発信いたします。
後日、香港競技協会および関係者の皆さまが、斎藤俊理事監修のもと、平原佳子による指導により、大塚対局会場にて当協会の競技ルールを体験されました。
当日の対局は、まるでタイトル戦決勝を思わせるような真剣で熱のこもった内容となり、リーチ麻雀への深い愛情と競技への理解・敬意を感じる時間となり、今後の国際的な交流と発展への期待が、さらに高まるものとなりました。
Friendship Agreement between the Nihon Pro Mahjong Association and the Hong Kong Mind Sport Competition Association
The Nihon Pro Mahjong Association (NPM) is pleased to announce the establishment of a friendship partnership with the Hong Kong Mind Sport Competition Association (HKMSCA).
HKMSCA promotes and organizes a wide range of mind sports, and is actively engaged in the popularization and development of Riichi Mahjong.
On October 16, 2025, HKMSCA representatives, led by Leung Sze Chun, visited Japan and held a signing ceremony with NPM President Takeshi Igarashi. Moving forward, both organizations will work together to promote the international expansion and development of Riichi Mahjong, including the planning and hosting of international exchange events and tournaments together.
Updates on future activities and international events will continue to be shared through our official website and official X account.
At a later date, members and affiliates of HKMSCA experienced NPM’s official rules under the supervision of Board Member Shun Saito and with instruction from Kako Hirahara at the NPM Otsuka match venue.
The matches were conducted with great focus and enthusiasm, reminiscent of a championship final. It was a meaningful occasion that reflected the participants’ deep affection for Riichi Mahjong, as well as their understanding and respect for the sport. This exchange further strengthened mutual ties and heightened expectations for future international collaboration and the continued global development of Riichi Mahjong.
